Journal Together

What is Journal Together

At Journal Together, our goal is to empower individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences through the transformative practice of journaling. We believe that the act of writing can foster self-reflection, enhance mental clarity, and cultivate personal growth. By providing thoughtful prompts, tools, and resources, we aim to create a supportive space that encourages creativity and mindfulness, enabling people to document their journeys and discover the insights that lie within. Our commitment is to inspire writers to embrace journaling as a valuable habit for lifelong learning and self-discovery.

Journal Together for Adults

Creating a writing community helps students share their written word in a safe and comforting environment in either digitally or in a small group in-person. Moreover, journaling fosters the development of a personal voice and style. As writers engage with their thoughts, they begin to recognize their unique patterns of expression. This self-awareness can be applied to more polished writing projects, resulting in more authentic and engaging content.

How to journal together:

  1. Sign ups for Journal Together are on Tuesdays through the platform Meetup.com.

Journal Together for Kids

Journaling plays a crucial role in enhancing writing fluency. Regular practice of writing in a journal helps individuals develop a seamless flow of thoughts onto the page, which is essential for effective communication. By allowing oneself the freedom to write without the constraints of formal structure, journaling encourages the exploration of ideas and the experimentation with different writing styles.

Finally, journaling enhances vocabulary and language skills. Writers are more likely to experiment with new words and phrases in their journals, which can lead to growth in their linguistic repertoire. This expanded vocabulary can significantly improve overall writing skills, making writers more versatile and articulate.

  • I AM NOT A JOURNALER! But this class has me writing my heart, hurts, thoughts, my laughter, and happiness! Who knew?! I did not know I had this secret super power. Thank you Mrs. Sweis for your shared talent and vision for little ol' me. Your class has been amazing. I've seen women be healed, finding their purpose, and share with other supportive Christian women. You are a true light who is letting Jesus use you. Thank you!

  • Being part of Journal Together has been a welcomed change in my life. Often times, I'd want to journal and didn't know what to write or found it hard to write by myself. It is great to write with others in this community and share our paths in life as we connect through writing. Highly recommend.

  • Thank you so much for your group! Since your session I continued to journal every week with my family.
